Why Do We Have To Renew Our Motivation?

Renew Your Motivation In The Time It Takes to take a bath

"People often say that motivation doesn't last.  Well, neither does bathing. That's why we recommend it daily." - Zig Ziglar 

Zig Ziglar was a wise man and a great sales person, and he taught a lot of people about success. 

What he says in this quote is true... motivation does not last and it must be renewed every day.  So we say... who wants to do that?

Have you ever looked at your life to see what other things you have to do daily for life to move ahead?

  • as the photo says -- bathe
  • do something to have earned income - like go to work or beg...
  • if you have children -- get them ready to go to the babysitter, school, grandma's house etc
  • decide where and what you are going to eat...

I am sure you could add to this list and you might be saying...

This Is Every Day Stuff...

These are things that need to be done! and that is true.

Now...why do you do them? (if you do them, some don't )

Because you have a desire that says...

"I want to be clean," 

"I want the better things in life,"

"I want my children to have the best and be the best,"

"This food will fit my budget and /or be healthy for me and my family..."

You have a desire and the desire pushes you or pulls you, to take action. So you are motivated to do these things every day.

Even the scriptures tell us to work on this part of our self daily to continue serving the Lord -

Rom 12:2  ... but be ye transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 

1Co 9:27  But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:

Luk_9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and TAKE UP HIS CROSS DAILY, and follow me.

But now to answer the question...

How to renew your motivation in the time it takes to take a bath?  

And I think this could be any length of bath.  I say this because your motivation comes from within yourself.  And you mind can work much faster than your body can.  So here's what to do.

Get in a quiet place - it could be while you are taking a bath, shower, or sit on the porch with a cup of coffee sitting in front of your with the aroma of it floating up to fill your senses. 

Now close your eyes and think of something that made you happy in the past. Something that when you think of it you get a great emotional feeling of happiness, or power, excitement... but it needs to be something that at the thought of it right now give you the same great feeling that it did when the event happened. 

This should put you in a happy place... that is you feel great! Here is why this is needed.

Before you set any goal or intention, long or short, you need to be in a good or great vibration already.  Because the mood (emotion) you are in when you set these things is what will carry with the goal or intention.

 If it is not good then it has been created in a negative environment and every time you think of it... negative is what will appear in your mind. 

Now... renew your motivation by review

What ever your goal is, for that day, that week, that month, while you are in that great emotional state associate your goal by reviewing it, with that emotion held in your mind.  

Emotion is a subconscious activity and when you can get your subconscious changed then the direction of your life will change. 

The subconscious will receive what ever you tell it as true and active right now and you can move ahead with great motivation. 

This can take as little as 3 minutes. If you prefer you can take longer.  If you are in warm bath with Epsom salts, it comes in flavors or aromas also, you can feed your body while you feed your mind.
